Sanctis will oversee all of the company's North American operations and answer to the company's co-chairmen, Greg Fischbach and James Scoroposki. Sanctis served as president of NBCi from November 1999 to November 2000, taking the NBC Web site public. It was subsequently repurchased by NBC, a unit of General Electric Co. Sanctis was also formerly the COO of the CNET/NBC joint venture Snap! web site. He originally began his career as an on-air reporter.
