Former SVG Distribution and Crave Entertainment CEO Nima Taghavi launched a new distribution division called Solutions 2 Go, in partnership with the incorporated Canada company of the same name.
The company will offer distribution services for game hardware, software and accessories for Sony, Microsoft and Nintendo's gaming platforms, claiming "a key focus on value-priced video games for next generation platforms."
Solutions 2 Go will ship products and displays to retailers, and participate in retail promotions, bulding and exclusives. It'll also offer inventory and life-cycle product management programs with vendor control.
It'll also announce company partnerships soon -- a recent GameDaily interview
reveals that one of these will be Sony Computer Entertainment. At the same time, Solutions 2 Go will be the exclusive distributor for Harvest Moon
"Casual, mass market video games that are positioned at value retail price points are moving to the forefront of entertainment sales - particularly when you take into consideration today's retail environment, consumer demographics and buying trends," said Taghavi.
"In order to maximize revenue in today's retail landscape, it is more critical than ever that both publishers and retailers synergistically partner with a distributor that provides a highly effective and transparent value proposition that extends the life cycle of publishers' catalogs and creates incremental sales opportunities for retailers."
