Event organizers have released the final conference programs for the upcoming Apply Serious Games and Apply AI conferences, set to take place concurrently June 27-28 in London at RIBA in Portland Place.
The conferences will serve as part of the the larger Enterprising Games Week, a London event designed to focus on how companies can leverage off of AI, virtual worlds, games and web 2.0 functionality in the areas of brand extension and immersive learning experiences.
The event is organized by Apply Group and the Alliance for New Generation Interactive Leisure and Simulations (ANGILS), and as
previously announced will feature a keynote address by noted game designer Peter Molyneux on using A.I in entertainment, media and serious games.
Other confirmed speakers include NCSoft's Thomas Bidaux, who will offer a presentation on using blogs, wikis, and podcasting to “fully engage your audience in an immersive world and opportunities and pitfalls when building persistent worlds,” and BreakAway Ltd's Jennifer McNamara, who will present an overview of serious games and toolsets users for game development. More than 20 speakers are expected to address various issues over the course of the two day event, which will include multiple sessions and master classes.
In addition, Enterprising Games Week will also host a special lunchtime session along with the South East Media Network, during which attendees will be invited to discuss how the mainstream and serious games sectors can contribute to London's 2012 Olympic Games.
