Federal Trade Commission Requests Videogame Compliance Data
The United States Federal Trade Commission has requested information about the sales of mature-themed games to minors and advertising targeted at them.
The request comes in advance of a new Trade Commission report on media violence. The upcoming report, coming just six months after the last one, is expected to provide an update on the success of enforcment recommendations made in the previous report. Earlier reports have praised the game industry for the quality of its game ratings system.
