In this latest Gamasutra student gallery, we present a selection of artwork from the portfolio of Adrian Nesterenko, who is currently studying at Grand Valley State University, including emphasis on 2D and 3D Design and Design Drawing.
When asked about why he wanted to get into the industry, Nesterenko has an interesting perspective:
"So many media are merging into one right now, or if they're not merging they're at least rubbing off on one another. It's a very exciting time to be a participant in creating the media.
It has been proven with games like Dance Dance Revolution that there will still be room for games that are solely reflexive, while the Resident Evil-s and Metal Gears- prove that there is an undeniable market for games that play like interactive movies. It could be very soon that games that play like books become more acceptable to pitch to the American audiences like they have been in Japan, with the portable systems becoming more powerful."
