Emergent Game Technologies announced at the 2006 Game Developers Conference the release of version 2.2 of its Gamebryo Element. Part of the Emergent Elements family of game development software, the new version of the game engine now ships with a scene designer. The scene designer extends the Gamebryo engine by letting developers create new worlds from discrete assets, place objects and lights in a scene, and assign a range of attributes and features to objects in the game. Gamebryo Element 2.2 is optimized for development on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC. Bethesda Softworks recently shipped its Xbox 360 and PC title The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion using Gamebryo. A stand-alone solution, Gamebryo is also now available as part of the Emergent Elements family of tools. Emergent recently announced the launch of other tools such as Metrics Element, a tool for collecting, analyzing and distributing any game data within a simple web-based user interface, and Automation Element, a tool for automating common development processes including builds and server operations. Visitors to Emergent's GDC booth, #1428, can see a demo of Emergent Elements.
