Emergent Game Technologies, a game development technology and services provider, announced new partnerships with four providers of game development technology, expanding the capabilities of its soon-to-be-announced product line.
The first partnership is with Allegorithmic, whose procedural texturing library, ProFX, is now integrated with Emergent's game engine and tools. This allows Gamebryo users to render high-resolution textures using only kilobytes of storage space, removing the need to access the hard drive, CD or DVD.
Emergent also announces an agreement to be a reseller of Allegorithmic's ProFX, with an exclusive arrangement to resell ProFX at a 50% discount off retail pricing when bundled with Gamebryo.
The second partnership is with Anark Corporation, whose Anark Gameface user interface development tool and runtime has been integrated with Emergent's Gamebryo game engine and tools, allowing customers to build 3D UIs.
Emergent also announced that Scaleform's cross-platform user interface and scalable vector graphics engine will be integrated with Gamebryo, allowing artists to create cinematic game interfaces and animated textures using tools such as Adobe Flash Studio. Firaxis Games recently used Scaleform GFC and Gamebryo to create the user interface for Sid Meier's Civilization IV
Finally, Quazal and Emergent announced a partnership to provide Quazal's products--including Quazal Spark!, the new lobby implementation that will be launched at this year's Game Developers Conference--to Emergent's growing customer base.
