Elsa Exits Consumer Market, Will Focus Exclusively On Professionals

Elsa announced a new corporate strategy to develop products solely for the professional graphics marketplace, and has jettisoned its GeForce-based Gladiac and Erazer consumer product lines in North America.
Newly appointed president and CEO, Eric R. Shiroke, says that the company will focus on the professional graphics market, which it currently serves with its Synergy 2000, Synergy III, GLoria III and GLoria DCC. All of these boards are based on the Nvidia Quadro. Elsa said tha that its Gladiac and Erazer products may be available in other international markets served by Elsa subsidiaries, and that support for existing customers of these gaming products will be available via the Elsa web site and through email. The field of manufacturers in the consumer board market, particularly those manufacturing GeForce-based boards, has become increasingly crowded. Elsa was competing against other GeForce cards made by Asus, Creative, CardExpert, Gainward, Hercules, Leadtek, MSI, PNY, and Visiontek.
