Electronic Arts Inc. has announced it will launch a new expansion pack for The Sims 2 on PC this fall. The Sims 2: Bon Voyage will let players take their Sims on vacations to three exotic locales -- the Far East, "Rustic Mountaintops" and "Tropical Island." The expansion pack will also feature all-new activities for the Sims, like building sand castles, suntanning and Zen meditation. The Sims will be able to interact with natives and learn new international greetings and cultural dances specific to their vacation destinations, and bring home souvenirs for home decoration exclusive to the expansion pack. This is the sixth expansion pack released for TheSims 2 since 2005, and the franchise celebrated its seventh anniversary in February. The Bon Voyage expansion pack will ship in Europe and the U.S. in early September 2007. “Every member of the family should be able to find activities that suit them," said Rod Humble, VP and studio head of The Sims Division."Mom can get a massage at the spa, Dad can practice Tai Chi in the Zen Garden, kids can explore the ruins of our largest object yet -- the Pirate Ship! With The Sims 2 Bon Voyage, you can take your Sims – even your family – on the trip of a lifetime!”
