Representatives from Eidos Interactive have announced that they have created a new internal development studio, named Beautiful Game Studios, specifically to work on the Championship Manager franchise. The Championship Manager series of soccer management games are the best selling titles ever in the UK, on the PC, and one of the company’s most lucrative assets. The series’ original creators, Sports Interactive, walked away from the franchise last year, leaving Eidos with the brand but no developers and no access to the game’s numerous statistic gatherers. The company will be hoping that the new thirty strong team at Beautiful Game Studios will ensure that Championship Manager 5 maintains the quality of the series when it is released this autumn.
