Representatives from wireless publisher JAMDAT Mobile have announced the appointment of Rajiv Dutta to its board of directors. Dutta is currently chief financial officer at eBay, and will join JAMDAT once the company has completed its planned IPO, initially filed on July 6th.
JAMDAT has agreements to distribute its applications in 38 countries through 72 wireless carriers with networks serving approximately 850 million subscribers. Its slate of games includes
National Football League (NFL) and
Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater mobile licenses, as well as a multiplayer mobile version of PopCap's extremely popular
Bejeweled puzzle game.
