Game retailer Electronics Boutique reports that strong demand led same store sales for the all-important nine week holiday period to an increase of 12.2 percent. Total sales for the period reached $261 million. The company's internet subsidiary, EDWorld.com more than tripled last year's holiday results, pulling in $7.5 million in revenue. Hot holiday sellers for EB included Dreamcast, Color Game Boy, and all things Pokemon.
