Electronic Arts has announced it has teamed with Nunchuck Games Inc. to co-publish action title Ninja Reflex
, developed by Sanzaru Games, for the Wii and Nintendo DS in North America in March 2008.
's gameplay revolves around challenges of reflexes and reaction time, tasking players with developing "ninja skills." It features both single-player and multi-player battles for up to four players.
uses a series of martial arts challenges to test gamers’ reflexes and measure their reaction times with millisecond precision. As players develop their ninja skills, they will strive to earn a black belt from their own personal Sensei. Players can also compete for ninja supremacy against their friends in fierce multiplayer battles with up to four players.
Nunchuck Games was founded in 2006 by David Luntz, who in 1994 founded Z-Axis Studios (Dave Mirra Freestyle BMX, Thrasher: Skate and Destroy
), which was acquired by Activision in 2002. Sanzaru, chosen by Nunchuck to be the game's developer, was founded by former Activision veterans.
Said Luntz, “Ninja Reflex
channels the accessible multiplayer fun of Wii Sports and the self-improvement aspect of Brain Age
into a martial arts universe that is ideally suited for the Wii and Nintendo DS. Nunchuck Games is thrilled to team up with EA Partners to bring Ninja Reflex
to gamers everywhere."
