The company negotiated the extension with MGM Interactive, a unit of Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Inc. and Danjaq LLC, and locked in the rights to Ian Fleming's "Bond" books, the 20 "Bond" films already released and any future "Bond" movies made by MGM.
Additionally, EA announced the development of a new game based on the "Bond" license, called
James Bond 007: Everything or Nothing, which is scheduled for release this Christmas.
James Bond 007: NightFire was one of EA's top games in 2002, selling over a million units.
