Officials from Electronic Arts have announced that the company is donating $8 million to the University of Southern California School of Cinema-Television. The donation will be used to create a three-year master's degree program in videogame design and fund an endowed faculty chair. The USC program is expected to begin during August and will initially accept fewer than fifteen students a year. Topics will include advanced videogame design, writing for games and creating multiplayer games, specialities that aren't usually included in courses at computer-science departments.
