Electronic Arts is continuing to make in-roads into the field of mobile gaming, with today's announcement of further cellphone content development with their partner of three years, UK-based Digital Bridges.
Brian Greasley, CEO of Digital Bridges commented of being partnered with the world's largest game software company: "This agreement is not only a vote of confidence in Digital Bridges, it is also a fantastic endorsement of mobile gaming."
With two mobile titles (
FIFA Football 2004 and
Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2004) accumulating more than one million downloads in Europe alone, EA and Digital Bridges intend to bring three more high-profile games to mobile handsets in 2004;
FIFA Football 2005,
Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2005 and
Need for Speed Underground 2, with a mobile version of
The Sims planned for 2005.
