After the huge influx of new releases which accompanied the European PlayStation 3 launch last week the UK sales charts have slowed considerably, although with still some movement of note – most obviously the entry straight into number one of Electronic Arts’
Command & Conquer 3.
The title is the first PC-only title to hit the UK number one in several months (though the Xbox 360 version is due to debut in May), and the first number one for the franchise in over seven years, when
Command & Conquer: Tiberian Sun – the last core game in the series – was released.
There are no other new entries in the top ten, with the next four titles all simply shuffling down one space from the previous week. PlayStation 3 launch title
Resistance saw sales drop by 66 percent and
MotorStorm by 62 percent and yet still both only lost one chart position, giving some indication of the large volume sold during the launch weekend.
Ubisoft movie tie-in
TMNT was the fastest mover of the week, rising thirteen places to number six on the release of the film in the UK. Electronic Arts’ soccer title
UEFA Champions League 2006-2007 also rose by eight places to number seven, as English clubs continue to perform well in the prestigious European cup tournament.
Outside of the top ten, the highest new entry is PlayStation 2 and Wii exclusive
Medal of Honor: Vanguard at number eleven - with the PlayStation 2 version accounting for 82 percent of the title's sales.

Burnout Dominator makes a belated entry at number thirty-two, following its release last week. Electronic Arts’ fourth new entry, in a busy week for the publisher, is the Nintendo DS version of
Theme Park at number thirty-eight.
