Transcripts from a recent conference call have revealed that Electronic Arts management are planning significant support for the PlayStation Portable (PSP), with chief executive Larry Probst predicting “between eight and twelve PSP titles in the fiscal year [2005]”.
Probst has also sated that the company is working on the assumption that the PSP will retail for between $199 and $249 in the US – significantly lower than many others had predicted. Software is predicted to have a $39.99 price tag.
Commenting on the recently announced Nintendo DS Probst would say only that, "It's a technology we're evaluating, but we haven't made any decisions as to whether we are going to support it yet."
