EA and Gamespy Announce Technology Agreement

GameSpy and Electronic Arts announced that the two companies have signed a multi-year technology licensing and services agreement, in which EA will use GameSpy’s middleware for online play and player matching into certain upcoming PC games.

GameSpy will also provide assistance in managing the back-end services for EA’s online games that use the GameSpy middleware, providing server, bandwidth and reporting support.
