Ubisoft's E3 press conference revealed a new 'survival adventure' title,
I Am Alive, from French studio Darkworks, as well as new ranges of casual games, from
Monkeyz through the
Ener-G girl-targeted DS game series.
Here are the key announcements thus far from the press event, being held at the Los Angeles Convention Center:
- Laurent Detoc, president of Ubisoft North America, demonstrated
Rayman Raving Rabbids TV Party, the latest entry in the popular Rabbids franchise, with an emphasis on support for the recently launched Wii Balance Board. The game will launch in November for Wii and DS.
- A brief trailer for
I Am Alive, a survival-adventure game from French studio Darkworks that will launch for the current generation of consoles next spring, was shown - but little else information was released on the game, which is set in Chicago after some kind of natural disaster.
- The company will release the latest in Gearbox's
Brothers in Arms series,
Hell's Highway, in September for Xbox 360, PC and PlayStation 3.
- Ubisoft will expand its casual lines to the Wii by years end. The
Imagine series of games will debut on the Wii later in 2008 with
Fashion Party and
Party Babyz, joined by
Monkeyz and
Petz Sportz.
-The company also announced a line of sports games for DS targeted towards girls called Ener-G, first three titles -
Adventure Riders, Dance Squad and
Gym Rockets - will launch in the fall.
