E3 Extends Stay In Los Angeles Through 2012

The IDSA extended its multi-year contract with the city of Los Angeles, which will keep E3 at the LA Convention Center through 2012.
The deal will reportedly generate an estimated $120 million in revenue for the city over the next decade. E3, which had a contract with the city through 2008, was apparently considering moving the show to Las Vegas, which sent shivers up the sleeve of LA politicians -- E3 is the biggest client of the Los Angeles Convention & Visitors Bureau each year. But the city put together a package that tipped IDSA in favor of keeping the event in LA for an additional four years. Approximately 62,000 attendees and over 400 exhibitors are expected at E3 this week.
