E3 Exclusive: Wideload Reveals Xbox Live Arcade Title

Talking to Gamasutra at E3 today, Wideload Games founder and head honcho Alex Seropian (Stubbs The Zombie, Hail To The Chimp) has revealed that his company has expanded, and is working on a title for Xbox Live Arcade digital download.
Talking to Gamasutra at E3 today, Wideload Games founder and head honcho Alex Seropian revealed that his company has expanded, and is working on a title for digital download. Wideload's internal structure is unusual, with just a core team of creatives, leaving the rest of the work to outsourcers. "We’re continuing to use that (production) model," he began, "and evolve it and grow it. We have twenty people now. We actually have two teams - one’s doing Hail to the Chimp, which is the Stubbs team with a couple more people of it, and we have a real small team doing games for digital download." When pressed for more details, Seropian admitted that "we have a game right now that is destined for Live Arcade." It's unclear if this title has anything to do with the (quite possibly facetious) disclaimer on the Wideload website: "Coming soon! Project: Hot Sauce and the Rainbow Space Car." Though the company is small internally, the number of outsourcers can be quite large. For instance, the company has a cabal of writers working on the company's upcoming console title, Hail to the Chimp. "We have about 10 writers," he says. "Our lead writer is Matt Soell, who’s one of the core Wideload guys, and then we’ve got some guys that work on The Onion, and the Daily Show, and things like that." A full interview with Alex Seropian will run on Gamasutra at a later date.
