The Entertainment Software Association has opened registration to press and consumers alike for the 2010 Electronic Entertainment Expo, the major game industry and consumer event set for June 15-17.
The annual event's stated goal is to show off "the creativity, excitement and energy that fuels the marketplace for computer and video game entertainment." After a few years' growing pains, last year's E3 benefited from something of a return to the glitz and glamour of earlier events.
"This year's event will premier cutting-edge technologies, immersive games, and innovations in consumer interfaces," promises ESA CEO Michael Gallagher.
The ESA says it's already sold 90 percent of the available exhibitor space -- exhibitors include publishers from Activision and Electronic Arts to Capcom and Konami. A full list of exhibitor companies is available on the event's
official site.
It's also created a
Facebook page and
Twitter feed for parties interested in keeping up with relevant updates on the event, and promises further details in the weeks to come.
