Ahead of its inaugural show, IDG World Expo, organizers of the consumer-oriented E for All Expo have announced that the show will be returning to the Los Angeles Convention Center for its second year on August 28-30 of 2008.
The expo, taking place this year October 18-20 at the Convention Center - previous site of the former E3 - will, according to IDG, build on "momentum and pent-up demand that has grown within the consumer audience for all things related to computer and video games," and "launch an early holiday shopping season for the industry."
IDG's consumer-targeted expo intends to give players not only a chance to play exhibitors' titles, but purchase them on the spot at 'on-site retail facilities.' The group also expects to offer gaming tournaments, job fairs, family-friendly offerings, and the return of the Video Games Live concert.
Organizers have not officially confirmed that all of the expo events will be returning in 2008, but apart from the tournaments and concert, this year's E for All will also include the Into the Pixel video game art exhibition, and an industry-only 'Business Zone.'
As previously announced
, tickets for the 2007 expo go on sale in June. Advanced tickets for Thursday and Friday will cost $45 and Saturday and Sunday will cost $65, while $90 will secure a four day pass to the expo. As expected, registering on site will carry slightly higher prices, with Thursday and Friday costing $50, Saturday and Sunday costing $75, and $110 being asked for the four day pass.
