Around 15,000 visitors attended the second annual Entertainment for All Expo over the weekend, according to event organizers IDG World Expo. Taking place at the Los Angeles Convention Center, also the tradition home of the E3 expo, the three day event took place from October 3rd to 5th. The public expo allowed visitors to preview upcoming games and enter competitive games tournaments and educational programs. The event played host to the Game Developers Conference's Game Career seminar and the inaugural "Gaming Bootcamp: Learn from the Pros" event, where various professional gamers imparted hints and tips to attendees. The show also hosted the Los Angeles International Children’s Film Festival, which screened more than 70 animated and live action films and offered basic animation workshops. Five professional gamers also helped to collect hundreds of cans at the event for the Los Angeles Food Bank. "E for All 2008 was all about connecting great game companies with gamers and gamers with great games, and we’re happy to report that the event was a true success in this regard," said Mary Dolaher, CEO of IDG World Expo. "In addition to welcoming back great exhibitors, celebrity gamers and partners from last year, we added a number of new programs and special features for 2008 which truly added to the excitement and energy of the show. We want to thank everyone who participated in E for All 2008 and helped make it such a success."
