In-game ad firm Double Fusion has announced two new deals, a multi-year agreement with episodic game producer Kuma Games (
Kuma/War, DinoHunters) to place ads in its free-to-play titles and a partnership with Aeria Games to drive advertising revenues for Aeria's
Project Torque MMO.
The deal with Kuma brings the publisher's original and television-based episodic titles, which include
Kuma/War, DinoHunters, The History Channel's Dogfights and others into Double Fusion's ad network, enabling participating companies to advertise to the Kuma audience. All of Kuma's TV-based properties are ad-supported, and create revenue opportunities for marketers through cross-media campaigns.
In the agreement with Aeria, Double Fusion will provide the technology that enables dynamic ad placements to
Project Torque, Aeria's racing MMO. Double Fusion’s sales force also will manage ad sales to brands in both the European and North American market.
Project Torque operates on a free-to-play business model that combines advertising revenue with digital item sales.
JT Nguyen, CMO of Aeria, commented, “In a free-to-play racing title, where advertising is so important because it not only allows us to keep giving players free games, but also adds to the reality of the experience for the gamer, the choice of game advertising partner is crucial. Double Fusion is unparalleled in their talents for matching brands to games and audiences, so we are confident that this program is going to benefit all of us, gamer included.”
