Discreet, the media and entertainment division of Autodesk, Inc., will offer 3ds max software production techniques to artists straight from 3ds max game industry professionals with a line-up of learning sessions during the 2005 Game Developer's Conference (GDC).
Nine user-oriented sessions make up the "Learn from the Masters of 3ds max" program, running March 8-11, 2005, in San Francisco at the new Moscone West Exhibit Hall. Also, Discreet will demonstrate its latest advancements in PC, console and mobile gaming technology with 3ds max software on the GDC show floor at booth #113 from March 9th-11th.
This year's sessions will help artists enhance their knowledge and command of Discreet 3ds max software. The courses are taught by industry professionals from game development companies including Ubisoft, Blur Studio and Ritual Entertainment, along with Discreet insiders to present best practices for using the software's many features, including normal mapping in 3ds max 7.
All Discreet sponsored sessions are offered at no additional cost, and will be held in Room #2011 at the Moscone West Convention Center, second floor. To read more about "Learn from the Masters of 3ds max" or to register for a session, interested parties can visit
