Consumer electronics and technology news site DigitalTrends.com has announced that it has acquired video game consultancy group Embassy Multimedia hoping to "grow its online presence to include new global product and service offerings." Digital Trends says its purchase will "help to offer the publication’s 40 million-strong monthly readership the best and most complete insight on a daily basis into one of the world’s most exciting and fastest-growing entertainment fields." The move comes at a time when Digital Trends is expanding all its operations, with a newly planned office opening this fall, and "several high-profile announcements planned before year-end." Said Digital Trends CEO and chairman Ian Bell, “We’re pleased to welcome Embassy Multimedia Consultants, the final word in video game consulting, to the family. Their winning combination of both corporate and consumer outreach to providers of console, casual, PC, mobile, online and massively-multiplayer entertainment only further strengthens the vast capabilities we already offer this rapidly growing, $13.5 billion dollar technology market.”
