LyonGame and the Agence Rhône-Alpes Numérique have announced their advisory committee for the third annual Serious Games Sessions Europe to be held December 3rd at the Palais des Congrès of Lyon, including Digitalmill's Ben Sawyer and PixeLearning's CEO Kevin Corti.
Sawyer and Corti join a number of other key players from the serious games industry including Serious Games Interactive CEO Simon Egenfeld-Nielsen and PlayBE CEO Steffen Waltz.
The advisory committee is also made up of a number of representatives from the defence, health and education world, including university hospital professor Albert Claude Benhamou and defense project manager Marie-Pierre Bouvet.
Said Lyon Game head Philippe Renaudin, “Up to now serious games have not been considered as being of international importance. Serious Games started with American simulation tools, before moving on to training and learning applications developed by local authorities; however, their huge potential now a driving force the international market as well. The bigger our event becomes, the more it sets its sights on wider markets and global needs. The Serious Games Sessions Europe is maturing -- this is reflected by its advisory council’s vision of the future.”
