Issaquah, Washington-based Digini announced the commercial release of its flagship product, Blade3D, an Xbox 3360 and PC integrated development environment designed to be accessible to a broad audience.
The product is available through a subscription-based model with several price points targeting hobbyists, independent developers, and professional developers.
With Blade3D's launch, Digini announced the Founder's Club, a limited-edition offer for all subscribers who sign up by the end of January, 2009. Members of the club receive a 15 percent lifetime discount on subscriptions.
The company also announced the 2009 Blade3D Community Games Contest, open to all Blade3D users. Developers are invited to submit original games made with Blade3D until February 24th, 2009. The contest winner will receive a trip to the Game Developers Conference in San Francisco from March 25 - 27 of 2009, and will showcase their game on a dedicated demo station at the event's Blade3D booth.
