Delay In NFL Blitz 20-02 Forces Midway To Lower Financial Expectations
Midway advised investors that fiscal results for the current quarter would be worse than previously expected, due to a delay in shipping NFL Blitz 20-02 for the PS2.
The company had previously targeted the game for a holiday 2001 release, but said the game will now ship in Q1 2002. As a result, the company lowered revenue expectations for the quarter from $50 million to $40-$45 million, and says it will report a loss of $3 million instead of breaking even.
