The Academy of Interactive Arts & Sciences has announced it is extending its deadline for application to the Dr. Randy Pausch Scholarship, which helps students studying game design, development, and production.
The Pausch Scholarship will award four students $2,500 each in financial aid for the 2008-09 academic year.
The extended deadline for submissions is Monday, June 30, 2008.

The scholarship honors Dr. Randy Pausch, a professor of computer science, human-computer interaction and design at Carnegie Mellon University. Dr. Pausch, a co-founder of CMU’s Entertainment Technology Center (ETC), has had great influence within the industry through his teachings, sabbaticals at Walt Disney Imagineering and Electronic Arts, and consultation with Google on user interface design.
