Utah based DAZ 3D, a developer of professional quality 3D models and software, has announced a partnership with Acclaim Games for an art contest, allowing contestants to submit concepts for a chance to have their submissions included in Acclaim and Dave Perry's upcoming player designed MMO, known simply as Top Secret
The technology firm will supply tools and content for the contest, which began on July 27 and will run through September 28. The competition is free and open to the public, and includes two separate submission categories, allowing contestants to design the game's logo, as well as the “riding beasts” featured in the upcoming title.
While much about the Top Secret
project remains unknown, earlier this year Perry revealed that the project will be a racing title, and will likely feature gameplay that incorporates music as well.
As previously announced
, Perry plans to work on the project in conjunction with suggestions from Acclaim's member community, with one contributor also netting the opportunity to work alongside Perry as director on the game.
“DAZ3D’s leadership in the creation of 3D content makes this contest the perfect fit for our community,” said Acclaim CEO Howard Marks. “This project is the first of its kind to include input from the entire Acclaim community, and we’re extremely pleased to offer them this accessible 3D software. DAZ 3D tools and content will make it easier than ever for our community members to create top notch contributions to our game.”
