The CMP Game Group (which also runs Serious Games Source

as the second keynote speaker at this year's event.
In his keynote address titled “Designing for Behavior in Massive Multiplayer Games”, Emmert, who was the lead designer on City of Heroes
and is currently working on Marvel Universe Online

Event organizers note that Emmert's goal is for audience members listening to his keynote to get a better understanding of how game designers approach the social aspects of player-to-player interaction and production. Simultaneously, those in the audience will hear details regarding the potential massively multiplayer environments might have beyond entertainment and within other game spaces.
SGS D.C., which will take place from Monday, October 30 through Tuesday, October 31, 2006 at the Crystal Gateway Marriott in Arlington, VA, will include multiple sessions focusing on a wide variety of topics.
