The Come Out & Play Festival, which seeks to provide a forum for new types of public games and play in city-size events, has announced its submission process for the September 22-23, 2007 festival in Amsterdam, hoping to find games that "have defined goals that provide interesting, meaningful choices for the players." Last year the festival featured real-life games from the creators of games such as I Love Bees, PacManhattan, The Go Game, Conqwest, and Big Urban Game. From massive multi-player scavenger hunts to public play performances, the festival gives players and the public the chance to take part in a variety of different games. The festival, which took place in New York for its first, 2006 iteration, has announced that this year it will take place in Amsterdam, Netherlands during September, for a two-day gathering in collaboration with the PICNIC'07 cross media week. Submissions are currently being accepted for the September 22-23 event. The festival is seeking games that have defined goals that provide interesting, meaningful choices for the players. These games should be interactive and directly engage the participants. Technology components are also optional. Most importantly, the game must be playable in Amsterdam during the festival.
