This extract references a video game industry doomsayer who is casting around just a little more distractedly than normal in his tea leaves:
"Greg Costikyan had this to say about the news that Electronic Arts had purchased MMO developer Mythic Entertainment: 'Either they desperately need to acquire a company like Mythic and tap its expertise and make Mark Jacobs leader of a new foray into MMOs (since he for damn sure does understand the field). Or else Mythic is doomed, doomed, I tell you.'"
