Chinese officials have announced the country’s intention to restrict imports of video games from South Korea, Japan and North America. According to China's Ministry of Foreign Trade the restrictions will strengthen the country's growing domestic game market. An estimated 70-80% of online games sold in China originate in South Korea, but recently companies such as Sony and Nintendo have begun to focus on the huge potential market. The exact nature of the restrictions and how they will be applied have not yet been revealed. Source: Polygon
