Changes to UK Charts

In response to dissatisfaction with the current UK game-sales-tracking charts, game retailers there have agreed to adopt a new sales chart standard beginning next month.
The reports will continue to be compiled by ChartTrack and copyrighted by interactive entertainment trade association ELSPA (European Leisure Software Publishers Association). The new charts will not include individual product information weekly, but will still provide overall market data by format. The monthly summary will include cumulative sales data for each game listed. "Things had looked bleak at one point," said ChartTrack's John Pinder, "but we're delighted that retail has helped us retain a weekly chart that is still the best in the world in terms of content and accuracy."
