The School of Information Technology at Murdoch University has confirmed that the Joint International Conference on CyberGames and Interactive Entertainment 2006 (CGIE 2006) will be held from December 4-6, 2006 in Perth, Western Australia.
The event is a joint international conference on CyberGames 2006: International Conference and Exhibition on Games Research and Development, and IE 2006: The Third Australasian Conference on Interactive Entertainment, and will provide professionals, researchers, and developers an opportunity for familiarizing themselves with the latest developments in the game industry, networking with academic and industry practitioners, and exploring future business opportunities.
CGIE 2006 will feature lectures and discussions on game development topics in the areas of game design, technology and art. Professionals in digital media, digital business modeling, and digital production around the region and internationally will be invited to give lectures as well. In addition, the event will also promote the games and digital content industry to government, businesses and the general public.
