Officials from major publisher and developer Capcom have announced the hiring of marketing veteran Nique Fajors as the company's new vice president of marketing. Fajors comes from Atari, where he served as the company's vice president of sales and marketing in New York. In his new role, Fajors will oversee all elements of marketing for Capcom in North America, including product marketing, creative services, public relations and community. The executive has also worked with major American consumer goods manufacturer Procter & Gamble, and has held positions with Snyder Communications, The U.S. Department of Commerce, and The White House. Fajors joins Capcom at a critical time for the company, which has a number of high profile titles in development, including Monster Hunter Freedom 2 for the PSP, Zack & Wiki and Resident Evil: The Umbrella Chronicles for the Wii, as well the highly anticipated Resident Evil 5 for both the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. "Nique's diverse experience includes running sales and marketing with interactive entertainment companies, as well as serving within the White House," said Mark Beaumont, executive vice president, officer and head of Capcom consumer software publishing in the Americas and Europe. "Nique will be bringing a senior strategic role to Capcom's marketing group, with the goal of driving Capcom to a greater position within the interactive publishing industry in the coming year," added Beaumont.
