Capcom development studio Clover Studio has confirmed its next project, a Japanese PlayStation 2 action title called God Hand, adding a small teaser page for the game to its official website. While little is known about the game currently, the latest issue of Japanese magazine Famitsu has reported that the upcoming title is being helmed by director Shinji Mikami and producer Atsushi Inaba. Mikami is best known for his work on the Resident Evil, Viewtiful Joe, and Devil May Cry franchises. Inaba on the other hand, also worked on Viewtiful Joe with Mikami, as well as the upcoming stylized PlayStation 2 title Okami. This latest announcement adds to an ongoing stream of upcoming titles in development by Capcom. In February the company held its annual press event in Las Vegas, at which time Inaba discussed the gameplay mechanics of Okami in vague detail, and Hironobu Takeshita showed off Ultimate Ghosts 'N Goblins and Power Stone Collection for the PSP. Clover Studio itself, which is an independent game studio funded by Capcom Japan, was founded in July 2004, and its title is actually a concatenation of the phrase 'creativity lover'. Apart from Okami, which is due for release later this year, all of Clover's released have been in the Viewtiful Joe series, with the game franchise popular enough to spawn an animated series shown on both Japanese and American television.
