Bytegeist Software Pty Ltd, an Australian and UK-based computer game and 3D graphics technology company, released its Vehicle & Physics Middleware SDK. The SDK consists of an API along with a number of 3ds max and Maya plug-ins, and has the following features:
Rigid bodies simulation with friction modeling and collision response
Collision detection between convex primitives, collections of convex primitives, and between primitives and terrains
Object stacking with idle state simulation
Vehicle and tracks simulation
Adjustable responses based on mass, gravity, friction, elasticity, bounce, and springs
Spring and particle simulation
Object fracturing with pre-assembled fracture models using max and Maya plug-ins
The SDK currently supports PC and Xbox platforms. Pricing was not announced.
