franchise developer Bungie has announced the released of a one-shot comic book, entitled the Halo Graphic Novel, to be published by Marvel Comics, and featuring artwork from a number of top artists and Bungie staff.
The 128-page, full colour, hardcover book will feature an anthology of four different stories. The book is described as being Bungie “produced, conceived and nurtured”, with the developer specifically seeking the contribution of artists including Andrew Robinson, Ed Lee, Jay Faerber, Lee Hammock, Jean "Moebius" Giraud, Phil Hale, Simon Bisley and Tsutomo Nihei.
An additional series of original gallery pieces will also be included in the book with new art from Bungie’s own artists and additional comic book creators including Rick Berry, Geof Darrow, John Van Fleet and Kent Williams.
The book is currently scheduled for a July release, and is the latest in a long line of licensed merchandise for the Halo
series which includes a popular line of novels, CD soundtracks, action figures and, most obviously, the forthcoming Peter Jackson produced movie.
