The deadline to file a claim for part of the $1.1 billion in refunds Microsoft owes Californians in an anti-trust settlement case is September 21, and a Bay Area firm that assists individuals and businesses in filing claims wants to remind you with a game. The company, Class Action Money, developed a simple game wherein the player takes form as a disgruntled penguin in a plane flying over Microsoft’s Redmond, Wash., campus (as if to see where all your money has gone). The player earns points for destroying buildings, engineers, flying scooters, helicopters, and other enemies, and releasing Microsoft’s bounty of gold and cash. The game is free to play at www.RedmondRaid.com. Upon game completion, players are directed to the Class Action Money web site, where they are offered filing assistance for a fee of $14.95.
