In an interview with Japanese newspaper Mainichi Shimbun, Bandai president Takeo Takasu has indicated that the company is pulling out of the games hardware market for good, after the failure of the WonderSwan series of portable consoles.
Takasu has reconfirmed the company’s commitment to multiformat software releases though, with properties such as Gundam, Digimon and Neon Genesis Evangelion still proving immensely popular, in Japan at least.
