Further information has been released regarding the 2004 Australian Game Developers Conference (AGDC), which will take place in Melbourne from December 2nd to 4th 2004. The conference will focus on 'Strategies for Success' in the development industry and will feature a line-up of keynote speakers including former Naughty Dog co-president Jason Rubin and Bill Roper of Flagship Studios. Issues tackled at the conference include the effects of interactive violence on children, the future development of the industry, creativity and computer games, developing games for hand-held consoles and producing complex 3D animation. The conference will run alongside an expanding exposition, where delegates will be able to browse exhibits by Australian and international hardware companies, educational institutions and game development companies. As part of this year’s expo, attendees will also experience the Paid to Play careers market. Students and graduates are encouraged to bring their resumes and portfolios of work to present to industry employers. [NOTE: The AGDC is not professionally affiliated with the U.S.-based Game Developers Conference, which is part of the CMP Game Group, as is Gamasutra.]
