In the latest Australian video game sales charts, previous entries have ratcheted down a notch or two to make way for the surprisingly popular arrival of EA's
Need for Speed: Most Wanted, on both PlayStation 2 (at #1) and Xbox (at #7). Also new to the chart is
WWE SmackDown! vs. Raw 06 at #4, and
Ratchet: Gladiator, the Australian title for
Ratchet: Deadlocked, showing up at #9.
The leftover games from last week together with the new titles on this week's chart make it a list very nearly dominated by the PlayStation 2, with the exception of the Xbox version of
NFS Most Wanted. In addition, peripheral-based games like
Buzz: The Music Quiz Game and various EyeToy-related titles are all still popular, as are the game adaptations of
Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire and
Star Wars Battlefront II.
