The Austin Game Conference, which focuses on developers of massively multiplayer online games as well as mobile and networked games, will be held by the Game Initiative this October 27 and 28th, and the organizers have announced that registration through the conference website has officially begun. The conference has several tracks for each stripe of attendee: there are sessions for Multiplayer Business/Production, Multiplayer Design, Multiplayer Tech/Art, and Multiplayer Service & Support, as well as Mobile and Wireless Design and Mobile and Wireless Profits. Interesting panels from various tracks include "East vs. West: Design Differences in MMOs in Asia and North America," "MMO Rant," and "Who Owns My Lightsaber? IP and Ownership in MMOs." Registration for the Austin Game Conference also gains the registrant access to the Women's Game Conference (not to be confused with the UK-based Women in Games Conference) as well as the inaugural Game Writers Conference, which focuses on writing and story development for all varieties of games. The Austin Game Conference will be held on October 27 and 28th, at the Austin Convention Center in Austin, Texas.
