The organizers of the Austin Game Conference have issued a call for speakers. The conference, which takes place in Austin, Texas between the 27th and 28th of October is focused on networked game development including massively multi-player online games (MMOGs), online and Internet multi-player games for PCs, consoles and mobile games. The conference is marketed internationally and aims to provide a venue where developers, technologists and business professionals can network with colleagues, learn from industry leaders, stay informed about the latest tools, technologies and techniques and get business done in a relaxed atmosphere. The current call for speakers is for MMOG presentations only and any individuals wishing to submit a proposal should visit www.gameconference.com/proposals/. Proposals will be reviewed by the advisory board and AGC staff. In 2004 attendees heard from industry veterans and luminaries in a program that included more than 125 speakers in 53 sessions and 7 tracks. Over 1,400 people participated in the 2004 Austin Game Conference, up from 850 people at the first AGC in 2003. Close to 2,000 attendees are expected for this year’s event.
