Dave Rolston, the company's vice president of engineering was quoted that the next chip would be "coming out, say, within the next 30 days."
He also announced that a new version of the Radeon 9700 would also be available in the next 30 days. The new version is being manufactured utilizing the .13 micron process, which should result in faster speeds and lower costs over the current .15 micron process.
The news about the R350 comes just as Nvidia is starting to roll out its latest chip, the GeForce FX. With the R350, Rolston claims that ATI will have the best-performing chip until at least the end of 2003.
